MUAY THAI
Muay Thai, or sometimes referred to as Thai Boxing, is the national sport of Thailand. Thai boxers have been called "Kings of the Ring," as they have mastered striking with kicks, knees, punches and elbows. Thai boxers are known for their legendary conditioning, superior offense and rock solid defensive skills. The Control Muay Thai classes will not only teach you how to move and react like a Thai boxer, but will also significantly improve your fitness level. Our "go at your own pace" class structure insures that anyone, at any fitness level can participate.
In a typical Muay Thai class you will be learning strikes, counters and defensive tactics that are unique to this highly effective martial art. Partner and Thai pad drills make up a large portion of the class. This provides realistic and intense training, along with a fun, and stress busting workout.
Sparring time is offered before/after class, and is completely voluntary. A large number of people who study Muay Thai simply want to learn the art, and enjoy the benefits of Thai boxing, but have no interest in getting into the ring. We realize this and strive to insure that all sparring is controlled, safe, and a fun learning experience.
Our Muay Thai classes are open to students of all skill, and fitness levels.
We maintain a safety first atmosphere in all our classes so that our students can train hard, have fun, and get a great workout, without injury.
